USC's Sam Darnold announced on Wednesday that he will be declaring for the NFL Draft, and with that news, Clay Travis thinks that the Browns absolutely HAVE to take Darnold with their #1 pick.
Over the past couple of years, the team has passed on Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, and Deshaun Watson - all of whom have gone on to be successful. At some point, you have to just go ahead and pull the trigger on a QB at the top of the draft. Throw in the fact that Hue Jackson has USC connections, and Darnold is the obvious choice.
