Japanese two-way star Shohei Ohtani was informed today by Angels doctors that the best path to heal his ailing elbow is Tommy John surgery. The bad news didn't stop him at the plate, however, as he went 4-4 with 2 home runs against the Rangers later the same night.
Jason Smith and Mike Harmon say that Ohtani's big night is proof that Tommy John surgery isn't just overrated but is not needed!
