Watching the NBA Draft is One of the Most Boring Experiences in Sports

Ben Maller: “On the Maller Scale of Excitement, with 1 being a funeral procession and 10 being courtside seats to Game 7 of the Finals, I give the 2019 NBA Draft a score of 2. That Draft was DULL.”

Listen to Ben Maller explain why he thinks the NBA Draft greatly fails to entertain its viewers as professional basketball’s Made-For-TV event lacks the type of audience appeal that the NFL Draft can boast.

Maller believes the coverage of the Draft was a dud, considering the most notable analysts and commentators around the game spend the overwhelmingly majority of the time propping up every pick and pay almost zero attention to the flaws of each individual player.

Check out the audio above as Maller says the telecast was DEAD, and says he’s tired of literally every single pick having to be instantly compared to a current and former NBA All-Star.
