Jay Glazer Breaks Down How the Rob Gronkowski Trade to Tampa Went Down

Listen to Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer break down the Rob Gronkowski trade to Tampa hours after the Buccaneers once again pulled off one of the most shocking moves of the offseason.

Glazer detailed to Jason Smith and Mike Harmon why the four-time All-Pro, who many around the sport consider the greatest tight end of all time, decided to come out of retirement for a Bucs team who had signed his former Patriots’ teammate Tom Brady just a month earlier.

The Bucs have been one of the most irrelevant teams in the NFL the last decade, not winning a playoff game since their Super Bowl run in 2003, and failing to make a postseason since 2007, but the franchise appears rejuvenated with the steady Brady at the helm, instead of the talented, but unpredictable Jameis Winston.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport had reported that Brady was telling teams during the offseason that he and Gronkowski were a package deal, and that Gronk would only come out of retirement if it meant playing alongside Brady for a team not named the New England Patriots.

Check out the audio above as Glazer details the logistics of the blockbuster deal that has many Bucs fans thinking Super Bowl.
