The NBA Pulled a George Costanza

Clay Travis is talking NBA this morning on Outkick. On Wednesday, the Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott their game against the Orlando Magic in protest of the shooting that took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This led to all games on Wednesday as well as Thursday being postponed.

After a number of meetings and discussions, the NBA announced on Thursday that they will in fact return to the court and finish the playoffs. This comes as no surprise to Clay. This is what he predicted would happen. Clay argues that the players initially reacted solely with emotion, and once logic entered the building, they decided to finish the season.

Clay compares the situation in the NBA to a famous Seinfeld episode where George Costanza storms into his job, full of emotion, and quits. After he cools off, and realizes that he made a mistake, he decides to just show back up at work the next day. This is, according to Clay, essentially what the NBA just did.
