Jason Smith: “Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out for the Browns on Sunday. The fact that this story has fallen by the wayside, just proves that Odell is no longer a star in the NFL. He’s gone from being a mega-star in the league to just being a guy. He even had a cryptic tweet this week where he quoted Drake lyrics, and even that wasn’t a story. A few years ago, these would have been major sports news headlines. But ever since he’s had injury problems, and his numbers have declined he’s become a mere sentence within a summary of other NFL news. Does that mean he’s no longer a good player? I don’t think so. Could the Browns use his presence in their offense? Probably. But he’s no longer a star, and I think the Browns are thinking of all the other ways they could be spending the money they’re investing in his contract.”

Listen to Jason Smith explain why he thinks Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. is no longer a star in the NFL, and what his future in the NFL could look like.
