Even though they remain undefeated, Cincinnati still finds themselves on the outside looking in when it comes to the College Football Playoff after the committee released its newest rankings. Jason Smith and Mike Harmon breakdown the rankings and the kind of miracle the Bearcats need to make the playoff.
Jason Smith: "If teams with zero and one loss keep winning, Cincinnati is going to sit at number five undefeated all the way until the end of the season. They're (the committee) is not going to take an undefeated Cincinnati team over a one loss Power Five team...Cincinnati's got to hope that enough of these one loss teams get two losses hung on them."
Mike Harmon: "You look at Cincinnati in the last three games this will make the argument for you. Tulsa struggled with them...31-12 against Tulane, that one was a little too close for comfort...and then they beat Navy by seven and Navy is a 1-6 team.
