Nick Wright Says This Team is the Chiefs' Biggest Threat in AFC Playoffs

Colin Cowherd: “Kansas City is good, but is there one team you look at and go ‘ehhh, I’d rather not face them.’”

Nick Wright: “If you take the whole AFC there is only one team that causes me any trepidation at all, it’s the Chargers. Chargers played the Chiefs twice and both games came down to the final minute or overtime, both games were a 6-point game, the Chargers have stars on defense, and as great as Mahomes was in the fourth quarter and overtime of their last game, it should be noted that the Chiefs offense exploding really coincided with Derwin James going out of the game. Derwin had done a great job on Kelce. The Colts are a really well-built team and I like their coach and GM, and everyone likes Jonathan Taylor, but at the end of the day do I think Carson Wentz is beating Patrick Mahomes in a playoff game? I do not. Mac Jones and Patriots field goals are not going to beat the Chiefs. The Chargers though are a scary team, so I think they’re the only team in the AFC that would cause any kind of concern for the Chiefs whatsoever.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Nick Wright explain who in the AFC he believes would give the biggest challenge to the Chief in the playoffs, as a 7-win Kansas City win streak paired with a Patriots loss, Ravens slide, and Bills slump, have made the AFC look like the Chiefs’ to lose.
