Rob Parker: Joe Burrow is Accomplishing What Matthew Stafford Never Could

Rob Parker on the credit Matthew Stafford is receiving: “Here is my issue and why I think it’s bogus and overblown…Matthew Stafford is on a team that already went to the Super Bowl who already added Beckham, Von Miller, Jalen Ramsey – they got PLAYERS. Stafford is on a great team. The only way the Rams don’t win is if Matthew Stafford messes it up, like they already have all the pieces. If you think it was the Lions’ fault and not Stafford’s, then explain Joe Burrow? Explain how a guy can go to a team that won two games the previous year before he was the number  1 pick, then won 4 games last year where he didn’t play part of the year, and now they’re already in the Super Bowl. You know why? BECAUSE JOE BURROW IS A FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK. HE DID WHAT MATTHEW STAFFORD COULDN’T DO, WHICH WAS RAISE UP A FRANCHISE THAT HAD BEEN FEUDAL WHEN IT CAME TO THE POSTSEASON. That’s what you look for with all the great quarterbacks. ‘Raise the franchise up’, where you might not have everything. Burrow got sacked 9 times against the Titans, for most quarterbacks that’s an ‘L’. That’s what you have to look at, not a talented quarterback getting added to an all-star roster, where it was simply adding water, stirring, and saying ‘NOW WE GOT IT!’ The Rams already went to the Super Bowl with Jared Goff. Goff’s Rams team entered the Super Bowl averaging 35.7 points per game, one of the highest scoring offenses in the history of the NFL, and he made two Pro Bowls back-to-back. You can’t have revisionist history and just act like Jared Goff was there for the ride. It’s just not true. Joe Burrow’s success in Cincinnati is an indictment on Matthew Stafford when he was in Detroit. Stafford wasn’t that ‘franchise quarterback’ to lift a franchise.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Rob Parker explain why he thinks Matthew Stafford is receiving way too much credit for leading an already stacked Rams team to the Super Bowl, when the mocked and belittled Jared Goff had already accomplished that same feat three years ago.

Check out the video above as Rob explains why Joe Burrow’s immediate success in Cincinnati, regarded as one of the most incompetent franchises in the history of North American sports, is an indictment on Stafford’s career in Detroit.
