Thursday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Chargers HC Brandon Staley talks about the aggressive mindset he instills in his team to defy the math and go for it on 4th downs when it feels right. Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington believe that style is what makes the Chargers one of the hottest teams to watch this season.
Brady Quinn: "The strategy that he's implemented, it's sounds because he believes in his quarterback. He feels like he's got a kid who's special and he does in Justin Herbert... The only problem with this is there's gonna be a fourth down they go for that ends up being one of the most memorable moments in NFL history, or it's going to cost him his job.
I think that's the type of guy that Brandon Staley is. He's gonna live and die by the decisions that he makes, not what someone else makes or dictates to him. It's aggressive. It's risky. It may pay off, it may not, but that's what makes it fun to watch."
