The Latest on Josh Allen's Injury Status

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is reportedly "being evaluated for an elbow injury to his ulnar collateral ligament and related nerves," sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Monday (November 7).

Allen experienced the injury late in Sunday's (November 6) loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that the team is continuing to evaluate Allen's injury and hopes to have more information later in the week.

"We're going through it," Bills head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Monday via the Athletic. "We're evaluating. We'll see where it goes. I'll probably be able to check in with you guys on Wednesday."

The Bills are expected to limit their franchise quarterback in the days leading up to their Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings and the belief is that the injury is one to monitor, rather than immediately rule Allen out immediately, NFL Network Senior Insider Ian Rapoport reports.

"#Bills QB Josh Allen is likely to be limited this week because of an elbow injury suffered late in Sunday’s loss but as of now it’s considered a situation to monitor rather than an ailment that would keep him out of the game, sources say. He’s still undergoing tests to be sure," Rapoport tweeted.

Allen threw for an uncharacteristic 205 yards and two touchdowns on 18 of 34 passing, while also recording 86 yards and two touchdowns on nine rushing attempts during Sunday's upset loss.
