Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is reportedly interested in playing for the Miami Heat next season and is threatening to refuse if he’s traded anywhere else. Doug is encouraging the Blazers to call his bluff and make a trade that benefits their franchise regardless of Dame’s preferences. It’s obvious that Lillard doesn’t want to be considered the bad guy here and will likely adjust to any team he gets traded to as long as it is a contender.
Doug Gottlieb: “In a 3-month stretch, he will go from wanting to be Mr. Portland, never wanting to leave, wanting them to build around him to; not only am I going to leave, but if I don’t get the way I want, I’m not going to play. Yeah, that’s a, ‘Let’s call your bluff,” on this one. That's a very amateur poker player.”
