The usually stoic Shohei Ohtani gave an uncharacteristic bat flip after hitting a homerun against the Yankees and social media has been reacting. Doug loves to see this kind of stuff from Ohtani and it makes him think Shohei is finally feeling comfortable with the Angels, so much so that Doug is now convinced he might consider staying in Los Angeles and trying to make the Angels into a competitive team.
Doug Gottlieb: “He’s competing! I don’t think he wants to leave. My take away is: I don’t think he wants to leave. I think he wants to win. I think he wants to show that they can do it with those guys. I think he likes those guys!”
