New Denver Broncos HC Sean Payton got loose with the press and proceeded to bash his predecessor and the entire organization for their failures last season, and his comments have ruffled more than a few feathers. Doug can’t argue with what Coach Payton had to say, but there had to be a way to get his point across without completely trashing the former coaching staff and front office, some of whom may still be with the team.
Doug Gottlieb: “(Sean Payton) is not wrong. It was a disaster. But you don’t say that...There’s a way to do it without completely trashing the entire coaching staff and front office, some of whom remain with you...It doesn’t mean he’s wrong, but he’s wrong to say it.”
