Kyler Murray is ahead of him but struggles to stay healthy and doesn’t get along with anybody. Derek Carr, a second-round pick, does not nearly throw a ball as well as Jared Goff. Russell Wilson is aging off a terrible season. Tua is not Goff as an arm talent. Garoppolo is not close... the Lions had a top 5 offense in the league last year. He had a 100 passer rating in the fourth quarter, among the best in the NFL. He has 31 games in his career over 300 yards passing, that’s the fourth-most ever in a quarterback’s first seven years. I’ve seen him go toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes and beat him. I’ve seen him in shootouts with great quarterbacks, he had a higher passer rating last year than Justin Herbert, Dak, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson. The knock on him was always ‘well, he’s not real dynamic.’ Alright, neither was Brady. He throws an absolutely beautiful ball. At Cal, LA, and Detroit, he’s always available. He’s never hurt, gets along with teammates, and you can no longer say it’s because of McVay. He’s now worked in two offensive systems with two head coaches and multiple coordinators. Dan Marino and Matthew Stafford are the only quarterbacks in NFL history to get to 25,000 yards faster, and that’s with two capable running backs, Gurley and Swift. I don’t get the disrespect for him. He’s sort of emotionally remote, he doesn’t have a big brand, he kind of hides, he’s got a little Justin Herbert where he doesn’t want the press, he’s gonna do his thing, and there’s a California vibe, he’s just kind of chill. I think he’s a really good quarterback. Some of it is he’s kind of slim, he doesn’t look dynamic, he doesn’t play with a lot of style, but I saw him go toe-to-toe with Mahomes in a Monday Night Football game and match him throw for throw.” (Full Segment Above)
