Emmanuel Acho: “I would say they [the Bills] WERE among the AFC’s elite. All those historical numbers are great and last year I picked the Bills to win the Super Bowl and I picked Josh Allen to win MVP. The reason I’m saying ‘were’ [past tense] is because how are we going to define ‘elite’? There’s only 16 teams in the AFC. The Bengals and Chiefs are ‘elite.’ The Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Jags, Chargers, Ravens, Brown -- I just named seven. With the Bengals and the Chiefs, that’s nine. Everybody can’t be elite. 60% of the AFC can’t be elite. We put the Bills in the same category as the Ravens. The Bills are in the same hodgepodge as the Dolphins. Last year when I was picking the Bills to win the Super Bowl they were ‘elite.’ Last year I would say ‘man, the Bills can beat the Chiefs, remember what happened last year? 13 seconds?!’ Last year I would say ‘man, the Bills can beat the Bengals’, but this year? How can I call them elite? The Bengals have been to two AFC Championship games consecutively. The Chiefs have been to five AFC Championship games consecutively. The Chiefs and Bengals are elite but I can’t continue to put the Bills up there when I am watching them regress towards the pack and the pack catch up to them.” (Full Segment Above)
