Rob Parker: Jets Made a Mistake Keeping Zach Wilson as a Backup

Rob Parker: "The Jets made a terrible decision in bringing back Zach Wilson as the backup quarterback. This is the guy who was much maligned, you didn't want him, he was no good. All the people in the locker room don't think he's any good. They bad mouthed him, didn't want him. Once you made that decision to go to Rodgers, you had to go and have someone else ready to be the quarterback and lead the team, because there's always a potential that people can be hurt."
Chris Broussard: "I disagree with that. I don't think you give up on him just yet. He had a bad year, but he wasn't ready to play."

Rob Parker explains why he thinks the Jets set themselves up for failure by keeping Zach Wilson as Aaron Rodgers' primary backup. Rob believes that Wilson's poor ability combined with the team not holding back in their criticisms of him has created an atmosphere that dooms the Jets' chances to compete without Rodgers under center. However, Chris Broussard disagrees, explaining why keeping Wilson to gain valuable experience under Rodgers is still a sound strategy. Listen to the heated debate here!
