Aaron Rodgers Is Right, Joe Namath Isn’t Helping

The New York Jets season is quickly heading south after Aaron Rodgers’ injury in week 1 and Hall of Fame QB Joe Namath made it clear he’s had enough, slamming their current QB, Zach Wilson and the entire Jets franchise from the head coach on down. Aaron Rodgers came to his team’s defense and, while not naming any names, invited Joe Namath to keep his opinions to himself because it isn’t helping anything. Dan agrees that Namath’s derisive comments can only hurt Zach Wilson’s already fragile confidence level.

Dan Patrick: “(Aaron Rodgers) did everything but say to Joe Namath, ‘Joe, shut up. You’re not helping the situation...’ How could this possibly help Zach Wilson, what Joe Namath had to say? Where he calls him out and basically says; can’t play, send him to Kansas City. And now his confidence level is probably minuscule, and now you have your Hall of Fame quarterback, Joe Namath calling you out. ‘Hey, go out there and now play against the Kansas City Chiefs!’ Good luck with that.”
