Will Raiders Owner Mark Davis Overpay for Jim Harbaugh Too?

The Las Vegas Raiders are on the hunt for a new head coach after firing Josh McDaniels and Michigan Wolverines HC Jim Harbaugh is the odds on favorite. The only problem is, he’s probably going to cost a lot of money and Raiders owner Mark Davis is not only still on the hook for paying out the four years remaining on Josh McDaniels contract at $10M a year, he dropped tens of millions to settle with previous coach Jon Gruden. Dan thinks it’s about time Mark Davis finds someone to make more sensible football decisions.

Dan Patrick: “Success and failure starts at the top. I think Mark Davis, if he gets a football guy who will tell Mark Davis, ‘Stay of out this. Let me handle this,’ then maybe there’s hope here. But if you get the same people making the same decisions, and maybe making the same mistakes, we’re going to be back in this situation in a couple of years, and you’re going to be paying another coach. So you’re paying Jon Gruden and you’re paying Josh McDaniels; are you going to go all-in on Jim Harbaugh?”
