Jason Smith: Antonio Pierce Embodies the Raiders Culture

Jason Smith: “The Raiders are making Antonio Pierce their head coach after his interim run this year and I don’t know what the hell they were doing looking at other people... I really don’t. This is a guy who came in, who understands what it means to be a Raider... that wanted to be here, that wants to be the Raiders head coach. He doesn’t want to be a head coach in the NFL which I’m sure he does but he wanted more than anything to be the Raiders head coach and there’s something to be said for someone that understands the culture and what it means and how difficult it is and to accept that challenge and when you find someone who not only wants to do it but proves he’s pretty good at it... look they closed out the season over .500 with Aidan O’Connell at quarterback... they went 3-1 down the stretch in division.  They beat the Chiefs, they beat the Chargers, they beat everybody... this is pretty impressive... this is an absolute home run for them.”
Jason Smith and Mike Harmon break down why the Raiders hiring Antonio Pierce as their next head coach was an excellent choice. Listen to the full segment above!
