Netflix announced it will focus on pass catchers for its new docuseries chronicling the 2023 NFL season.
'Receiver' will feature wide receivers Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders), Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings), Deebo Samuel (San Francisco 49ers) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions), as well as tight end George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers) as part of an eight-episode series set to premiere in Summer 2024, according to NFL.com. The series will continue Netflix's relationship with the league, which began with the popular series 'Quarterback,' chronicling the 2022 seasons of Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs), Kirk Cousins (then-Minnesota Vikings) and Marcus Mariota (then-Atlanta Falcons).
The series will be produced by NFL Films in partnership with 2PM Productions, founded by Mahomes and Omaha Productions, founded by Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.
"We are excited to be working again with Netflix and NFL Films to give fans unprecedented access to what it's like to play receiver at the highest level," Manning said. "As we did with 'Quarterback,' we look forward to telling the stories of five incredible receivers, each with their unique personality, skillset and motivation for what drives them to be the best."
