Daniel Jeremiah Releases His Newest NFL Mock Draft 3.0

Watch NFL Network analyst and former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah release the full first round of his Mock Draft 3.0 with April 25th's 2024 NFL Draft rapidly approaching.

Jeremiah has some shocking first round surprises in the form of two blockbuster trades in the top 5. Jeremiah has the Minnesota Vikings moving from no. 11 to no. 4 in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals to take Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

McCarthy, once thought of as late-first round afterthought, has become the Draft’s biggest rise after a 15-0 perfect season for the National Championship-winning Wolverines.

Despite throwing for under 3,000 yards in his final season in college and tossing just 22 touchdowns, McCarthy did rank 3rd nationally in QBR.

The Vikings are the most obvious candidate to draft a quarterback in the first round following the departure of Kirk Cousins to the Atlanta Falcons, as former no. 3 pick and journeyman Sam Darnold could be a temporary stopgap.

Jeremiah’s biggest shocker, however, comes with the New York Jets jumping from no. 10 to no. 5 in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals to select Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Harrison Jr. Is the unanimous choice to be the first receiver off the board and would team with former Buckeyes teammate Garrett Wilson. Earlier this week, New York signed former-1,000-yard Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams.

Jeremiah doesn’t believe Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will fall out of the first round, predicting that the Las Vegas Raiders take him with the 13th pick.

Fellow Pac-12 quarterback Bo Nix will drop out of round 1, according to Jeremiah.

Other notable selections include LSU wideout Malik Nabers to the Giants at #6, Alabama defensive end Dallas Turner to the Falcons at #8, and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers to the Broncos at #12.
