AAF's Struggles Highlight Why Brand Recognition is Important

The Alliance of American Football seems to be running out of lifelines. The latest news is that the majority owner says the league is in danger of folding without help from the National Football League Players Association. According to AAF's recently added chairman, Tom Dundon, NFLPA is not cooperating with AAF by refusing to allow the league to use young NFL players. In essence, it defeats the purpose of being a developmental league. According to ESPN:

Unsigned NFL players, including practice-squad players, are free to join the AAF at any time. But the AAF would need the NFLPA's cooperation to acquire a practice-squad player who currently is signed to a futures contract with an NFL team.

Doug Gottlieb reacts to this saying he isn't surprised a league like this is facing massive issues, and the money problems were only the first red flag.
